Welcome to Seed Home Designs
Meet the Designer
My name is Naomi Sisson, having recently upped sticks from our home in the Midlands my family and I have ventured down country to a little village close to the beautiful Cornish Coast of Falmouth, to be part of the rich creative community in the South West.
Having to put pen to paper at the start of a new chapter, can feel somewhat daughting so I thought I’d tell you a little bit about my creative story so far and what my business has to offer.
With a background in commercial textile design, my business began four years ago with a desire to explore in a fresh way what creativity would look like for me. I began with a blank sketchbook, initially spending my evenings simply collecting & compiling images of things I loved & enjoying the process of filling each empty page. I soon began to follow my love of the big outdoors sketching flora and nature within my garden.
I found that opportunity to explore the creative process organically, began to help me re-connected with who I felt I was created to be, giving me fresh inspiration & confidence to take forward my ideas into printed fabric & later my homewares range. I have always loved both homemaking & surface pattern, so growing Seed Home Designs has been a natural way to combine my two passions for textiles & the home.
From the seed of an idea, my business has gradually expanded from a small range of fabrics to include my own British made homewares, prints & cards. Alongside my business I also enjoy working with customers & other businesses on bespoke fabric designs, homewares projects, so do get in touch if you’d like to find out more.
Thanks for reading & I do hope you enjoy my work as much as I have loved creating it!
My flora and nature inspired fabric designs are printed in England onto high quality medium to heavy weight cotton fabrics.
All of my fabric designs are printed using eco-friendly water based pigment inks which are then treated to ensure they offer excellent durability. These can be purchased by the meter through the designer fabrics section of my website: https://www.seedhomedesigns.com/fabrics
My current work also includes lampshades, cushions and reclaimed and restored furniture which has caught my eye, and I have upholstered with due time, care, attention to detail and love, using my fabrics.
My product range will vary over time as I find new lovely ways to use my designer fabrics, so if you love my work and are looking for that special, one off piece for your home or interior it's worth keeping an eye on my website. Here are my latest homewares ranges to date: https://www.seedhomedesigns.com/homewares
